Having been married into the Griffin family for over 10 years now, I have learned that the holidays are a very important time for the entire family. Whether it is finding the perfect gift, scouring the tents for 3 hours to find the perfect Christmas tree, or lugging the 328 pounds of decorations down from storage, the Griffins mean business when it comes to the holidays.
Emily, feeling even more festive than usual this year, decided that we should surprise her parents and show up to provide a little Christmas elf decorating. We got decked out in our Christmas shirts and our elf hats and reported for duty. How could you turn down these guys showing up at your front door?
We got right to work as we started setting up the tables and eventually Christmas village that goes in the living room. Grandma Curly has been collecting Snow Village pieces since 1987, so there were quite a few that needed to be placed. Everyone pitched in to help out, and we had a great time getting in the Christmas spirit.
The boys managed to help for the duration of their 25 minute attention spans, then were able to sneak off and take a mid afternoon break to fish with PopPa Colonel before the rains came. It was great helping out to ensure that all of the meaningful decorations that Kee has collected through the years made their way out for all the family to see this year!
