Lunch: Ginger Rootz, Appleton, WI
Review — Today we had takeout from another Appleton favorite of mine, Ginger Rootz. This is like Appleton’s version of PF Changs, with sort of a modern twist on traditional Asian favorites. I opted for the cashew and almond chicken lunch special, which comes with two crab rangoons and a salad. I also ordered the hot and sour soup, which widely varies depending on where you get it. Theirs is pretty consistently good, and today was no exception. The almond cashew chicken is great for lunch as it is not drenched in sauce nor breaded. Today it was exceptionally flavorful and I really enjoyed it. There is really not a lot to say about it other than the fact that it had a good takeout life span, in that it tasted just as good as if we were in the restaurant even after being transported to the house.
