I have one word to describe today, and I think many of you have already guessed it: shopping! I thought we saw a lot of useless stuff yesterday; oh, that didn’t even compare to the crap we saw today. (Those of you getting souvenirs from Door County, I didn’t mean that stuff.) As Emily went into every shop throughout the Door County area, I took pictures in the different towns that we stopped in. We both were doing what we enjoyed, so it worked out well. We pretty much shopped from 10 am until 5 pm. For the normal human being that is too much shopping. Not for my wife however. She wore out one pair of tennis shoes, but she had a second pair to finish out the day. In all seriousness, she had a blast looking at all the fun Door County nick nacks and the second mortgage paperwork is almost complete to pay for it all.
After finishing with our last shop in Sturgeon Bay, WI, where you could smell the potpourri from down the street, we headed back to Appleton. The Hayes and Toney families were awaiting our arrival, and we headed to a local pizza joint, Sammy’s, for dinner. We enjoyed the mexican pizza and the pepperoni and green olive pizza, which I am sure Emily will have some words about (if she ever gets around to her food reviews). After finishing dinner we headed back to the casa de Hayes and called it a day. We had a fun day and look forward to sharing tomorrow with you!
