Fisherman’s Wharf San Francisco, Halloween
Today was the time change back to standard time so our sleeping schedule got even more thrown off! I woke up at 7:00 which ended up being 6:00 so I knew I was in for a long day. We started out with room service breakfast, which was good, but no match for the Brewery Gulch Inn breakfast. After breakfast we set out for the Fisherman’s Wharf area of San Francisco.
The Fisherman’s Wharf area was neat and touristy, with plenty of shops and food to keep our interest. We toured around a bit bouncing in and out of shops and found ourselves at the end of Pier 39 staring at Alcatraz. After taking many pictures we decided to continue on to the plethora of sea lions that congregate next to Pier 39. Again many pictures were taken and we continued on. We decided to set up a tour for Alcatraz and will be going on Monday morning so stay tuned!
Continuing on our journey we saw the SS Jeremiah O’Brien, which was a liberty ship that was used in battle during WWII. We took the tour as well as many pictures, it was a neat thing to see. At this point we were hungry so we set out to find lunch. We ended up at a seafood restaurant called Castagnola’s. The food and view were great.
The rest of the day contained many pictures as well as a great deal of shopping. Not too much exciting to tell you about either. Dinner we revisited and old favorite (1 day old) Uncle Vito’s Pizza, only this time we asked Vito to bring it to the room. Another fun relaxing day in California. Stay tuned for Alcatraz tomorrow!
Pictures take today – 588 – Total pictures taken on trip – 3243
