Being that day one was so much fun it was going to be a tough one to top. Because Emily knows me so well, she decided to plan a lunch outing to a place that we had not been to before. The location was about a 45 minute drive but the Tiki Bar nestled on the lake was well worth the drive. A coworker of mine, John Cole, told me about this place about 4 months ago, and I have been longing to go ever since. Emily and I thought it would be fun to invite John and his family to meet us there to enjoy in the experience.
Because we leaped forward during the night our bodies were a bit out of whack, but it worked well for us because we ended up not eating until 2:00. We got to the Tiki Bar in Minneola, Fl around 1:00, and since John was traveling by sail boat, the wind (or lack thereof) ended up getting him there around 1:45. He brought his son Noah and Noah’s friend Reid who did an amazing job entertaining Hunter. We grabbed some delicious cheeseburgers and sat under a 100 year old oak tree and enjoyed the beautiful afternoon. The weather, company and atmosphere could not be beat. We finished our food, hung out for a bit and headed back home.
All-in-all it was a great birthday weekend. Thank you to all those involved.
