Week three brought much of the same as weeks one and two as was to be expected. Did I mention this kid cries a lot? Just wanted to make sure I covered that with all of you. I am told this amount of crying is normal but this is certainly not what I put on my baby order form when I was filling it out. Guess that slipped by the quality assurance team.
Your basic day during Hunter’s third week consisted of laying in bed waiting for him to wail so we could troubleshoot what the heck was wrong. Is it the diaper? A little hangry? Maybe he’s tired? Is he over stimulated? So many questions for such a little guy. Don’t get me wrong though, we still love him to pieces.
I was having a conversation with PopPop Colonel on Easter Sunday, and I told him how funny it was that they send all of these Enfamil and Similac samples when you first have a child. This makes no sense to me. What should happen is that Captain Morgan should send new dads sample packs to get through these first few weeks. Might have to write the Captain and tell him so myself.
This week Hunter got to meet his aunt Diane and cousins Alex, Kaylie, Taylor and Sean. He said that he had a blast hanging out with them but really he pretty much slept through the whole thing. You can see some photos when you click on the link below.
Hunter enjoyed his first trip to Downtown Disney this week. He ate Wolfgang Puck Express (well, not directly) and enjoyed the scenery. Saw some toys that he liked but said that we could come back and get them when he was old enough to play with them. He wanted to stay and play longer but Mom’s germ paranoia got the best of us and we headed back to the house.
On Hunter’s three week birthday we got him/us a Baby Bjorn. Mom said that it was so she could do all of her chores around the house. Hunter and I knew better. See, Mom needs both hands to effectively online shop. This was, of course, the deciding factor.
Many of you who have followed along with our road trip and our honeymoon trip know that we love to take lots of pictures. On both these trips we kept a running count of the number of photos that we took. Well, I will do the same for Hunter because there have been quite a few. Through week three we have taken a total of 733 photos. I think that is more than my parents took of me from birth to age 18, but I digress. We have taken a photo of Hunter every day since he has been born. We hope to keep it up! Check out the photo slideshow below for many more photos of our little buddy!
Thanks for reading and tune in again next week to see if he is still crying. Vegas odds are heavily tilted toward yes!
