Since my plans to take Hunter to see Disney’s Earth fell through (well, more like I came to my senses), and I was too lazy to take him to Animal Kingdom, I decided Hunter and I would do a craft in honor of Earth Day. Most of the online toddler crafts sounded a bit out of our league so I chose peanut butter birdfeeders. I invited Grandma over to help, but bribed her by making her lunch.
Hunter ended up having his own ideas about how to craft these bird feeders (his idea being to dump all the seed from the “dipping” plate directly onto the floor and counter). We took into account his skill set and he ended up being the official “sprinkler” of seeds. We hung four of them in the tree and waited a few days to see any nibbles. After no bites for the first two days, on day three we went to check on them and they were all GONE. Not pecked at, not partially eaten… just gone. My money’s on the racoon… bastard. Anyway, it was fun (and messy), so enjoy the photos!
