For those of you who aren’t aware, my uncle J.P. Hayes has been on the PGA Tour since 1992 and recently failed to qualify for his 2009 PGA Tour card because he called a penalty on himself during qualifying school.  To make a long story short, J.P. played a prototype Titleist ball that was not PGA approved and based on the… Read more »

Pre Mother’s Day 2009

Those of you who know Emily well know that no event in Emily’s life where she is the focus should only last one day.  This is why she coined the phrase “Birthday Fest” and now we have “Mother’s Day Fest”.  What this means for me is that not only is she the center of attention for one day but we… Read more »

Where’s the sign?

So I have to first admit that Hunter has been to the Disney theme parks more in his two years than I could have dreamed to go in my childhood (although the 1,200 mile commute prevented many a day trip for the Hayes family living in Wisconsin).  During our many visits Emily and I often ride the monorail and train… Read more »

Hunter’s Week in Three Words – Week Seven

It was another eventful week for the Hayes family and Hunter.  The highlight of the week was planting a tomato plant in our “As Seen On TV” Topsy Turvy.  We also planted some other seeds and plants around the house and gave Hunter his first taste of landscaping.  Stay tuned for week ten when we teach Hunter how to dispose… Read more »

Hunter’s Week in Three Words – Week Five

It was such a beautiful day we just had to head over to Epcot to enjoy the Flower and Garden Festival.  The gorgeous weather and stunning backdrops provided the perfect setting for this week’s three words.  The spring weather is very fleeting here, before the summer heat arrives, so we are enjoying it while it lasts!  Enjoy.

Picnic in the park

In honor of Colonel Griffin’s belated birthday celebration we decided to pack a lunch and head to Moss Park which is about 2 miles from the house to enjoy a nice afternoon.  Emily made some delicious bread salad that we enjoyed very much.  Hunter had a blast collecting sticks and watching Poppop fish.  Check out some of the fun photos… Read more »
