To celebrated the beautiful weather and vacation that Hunter is having with his Wisconsin relatives, he thought these three words summed up his weekend so far!
For those of you following along it would only make sense to have this weeks “Week in Three Words” be cruise themed. We promise that we had thought this out prior to leaving, but being that the shirt said it all, we felt no need to make a sign. We hope you enjoy and thank you for following along!
As we awoke to our human alarm clock, the cruise ship was making it’s final crawl to Disney’s private island Castaway Cay. As with most of our vacations with Hunter, we found ourselves awakened by our personal rooster before the sun had a chance to rear its head. Today, we excitedly departed our house in Orlando and made the 40 minute drive to Cape Canaveral to board Hunter’s and my first cruise. Emily just purchase the Wii Active game by EA Sports that we tested out for the first time tonight. What we realized after the 15 minute easy workout was that “Wii” aren’t very active. It is a pretty cool game though.
Hunter spent his mornings this week at the YMCA with Emily learning the fine art of swimming (or floating and getting out of the pool, but you have to start somewhere). Hunter loves his new goggles and wanted to wear them in the tub with his cool new shark trunks to practice his skills.
We hope that all of you reading this had a very enjoyable 4th of July. The Hayes family had a really fun day. The day started with a long-standing Griffin (Emily’s family) tradition of decorating the kids’ bikes and strollers and having a parade. Hunter and I were having some of Emily’s delicious spaghetti at dinner tonight. Hunter was not interested in the noodles so I helped him sort out the dish to get to the meat sauce. When I asked Hunter what he like more the noodles or the meat he said “more neat!”
