Patrick: “Here Hunter, you can hold your ticket.” Hunter: “And we’ll put it in the flowers and take a picture.” I have been taking pictures of our tickets amongst the Flower and Garden flowers so I can use it in my Shutterfly books. Unbeknownst to me, Hunter has been paying attention! ……………………………………………………………………………. After leaving Epcot after the fireworks, we were… Read more »
Since my plans to take Hunter to see Disney’s Earth fell through (well, more like I came to my senses), and I was too lazy to take him to Animal Kingdom, I decided Hunter and I would do a craft in honor of Earth Day. Most of the online toddler crafts sounded a bit out of our league so I… Read more »
A couple weeks ago, my great friend Marie came to visit from Michigan. Her wonderful husband Ryan surprised her with a trip to Florida knowing how much she loves it here and misses it in the long, cold, Michigan winters. Marie and I were roommates on our Disney internship back in 2001, and she has thankfully kept in touch with… Read more »

Today we woke up to find the Easter bunny had visited our house! He left a basket of treats for Hunter and another empty basket to collect eggs from around the house. Today we headed down to Sarasota to celebrate my grandmother’s 95th birthday! She requested a pizza party, and we were more than happy to oblige. My aunt from Georgia and cousin from NYC arrived on Friday night to drive down with us, so we split the cars girls/boys for the drive to Sarasota. My dad, Patrick, and Hunter rode together, and I… Read more »

Since all but two of the group of us had birthdays in the last three months, the day became a birthday fest of sorts. Before they arrived, Hunter helped… Read more »
Today Hunter’s “hat hair” turned into an impromptu photo session. I could not stop laughing at the explosion of hair that came out from under his Buzz hat. The 4th picture in particular seemed so Abercrombie to me, with his moody pose, wrinkled henley, and tousled locks!
Thanks to the kindness of our husbands, my friend Jen and I got to enjoy a night out in a restaurant with no kids’ menu or crayons visible on the table. Jen suggested the Bento Cafe, because she scored a $25 restaurant.com gift certificate for only $3! The only caveat was that we had to have a bill of $35, but… Read more »
Today Hunter and I were invited by my mom (Grandma Kee) and dad (PopPop Colonel) to the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. We headed there early to “beat the crowds.” Yeah, us and about 50,000 of our closest friends! We knew it was a bad sign when the lines to get in were snaking through the ticket booths and… Read more »
